Amazon Kindle White Touchscreen now available in India for 5,999 INR

Amazon has now officially launched a white colored version of its popular Kindle e-book reader in India. The budget touchscreen Kindle variant was already available in black color since September 2014, but now with the availability of white color variant new buyers will get to choose between the two color options. Both black and white variants are priced at 5,999 INR.

popup-glare-compareOther than color, the spec sheet is identical to black version.  The Kindle White touchscreen sports a 6-inch anti-glare e-ink display which has a pixel density of 167ppi (pixel per inch). It has a total 4GB internal storage option with no microSD card support however, company does offer free cloud storage for all Amazon content. The e-book reader comes with wi-fi as a lone connectivity option. According to company claims, it can last up to 4weeks on a single charge (with WiFi off).

The e-commerce giant has planned to retail it in both online and offline market. It will be available on Amazon.in as well as retail outlets across nation. With Kindle e-book reader, users can get access to world’s biggest e-book store with more than 3 million books.

For book lovers, Amazon India introduced a Kindle Unlimited paid service in September. Its subscribers gets an unlimited access vast Amazon library. Users can subscribe for Rs. 199 per month, Rs. 999 for six months or Rs. 1,799 for 12 months as per their requirements.
