The Apple iPhone 7 in all probability will be unveiled to the world on September 7 along with the updated Apple Watch.  As rumored, Apple has sent out press invites for a media event scheduled on Wednesday.  The invite simply has an image with bokeh effect (out-of-focus lights) forming Apple’s logo and “See you on the 7th” caption. This will be the fifth year in a row when Apple is hosting an event in the first half of September to refresh its line-up. The next generation of Apple iPhones are expected to continue with the same design line as iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. As per the current rumor mills Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may have ditched the conventional headphone jack, and move antenna bands to the periphery. Apple is could bundle in a lightning to 3.5-mm adapter within the retail box.

There are rumors that Apple might introduce dual –cameras setup on new phones for better photography experience. If it is true, it will be interesting to see how apple implements the second camera. Whether it’s layered with a wide angle lens (something which LG did with G5) or uses a monochrome sensor to get sharper details (something Huawei did with its flagship P9).

Reports suggest that the next generation iPhones are expected to be water resistant. Apple may finally shift to a 32GB base model instead of 16GB entry model. It will feature a Force Touch Home button and bumped up battery.
