For over years and time, Asus has been known to us as an elite name in the manufacturing sector of computer peripherals and accessories. Having proved its mettle in the computing aspects, Asus has been making valiant efforts in the smartphone segment to create some wonder. And these efforts have all returned the worth invested by Asus. Asus rose above the horizon with its flagship smartphone, Zenfone. Recently, Asus has been making the top stories because of the latest flagship smartphone, Asus Zenfone 2, which has drawn some serious interest of the customers and is rolling swiftly on the way all along.
According to a report in The Economic Times, Asus is planning to strengthen its grip in the Indian smartphone market. Peter Chang, country manager at Asus India stated that India is an economy where manufacturing seems to an activity of great enthusiasm because of which Asus is marching ahead and planning to set up a production unit of its own in India. As per a previous post on our blog, Xiaomi is already in the process of setting up a production unit in Bangalore. And now Asus is following the trail. It seems like Asus has foreseen Indian economy as a great boon to its success.
