A key ingredient of premium smartphone experience is your phone’s design and that’s precisely what manufacturer’s end up compromising on when it comes to budget and mid-range phones.

Affordable phones have come a long way in terms of look and feel in the last couple of years, but manufacturers are still more bent on integrating design labels like 2.5D glass, metal plate (even if it’s an extremely slim sheet bounded by plastic on all sides), and ‘symmetric ‘ placement of components, rather than churning out a truly refreshing product.

However, if you are willing to invest in higher mid-range phones, you certainly get to choose from a number of fabulous looking options. Let’s list a few best looking smartphones under 30,000 INR.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro

We have been really drawn to the new crop of Samsung mid-range phones and the Amazon-exclusive Galaxy C7 pro leads the pack with its slim and svelte full metal unibody. The deftly integrated antenna bands do not break its metallic continuity and the 2.5D glass further makes it aesthetically appealing.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro (4)

The handset is just 7mm thick and is reasonably compact in spite of a large 5.7-inch display (read: extremely narrow bezel). The Super AMOLED screen with Always-on display support further complements Samsung’s stunning design. Also, all buttons and ports are aptly situated which makes it very comfortable to wield. In India, it is available in Gold and Navy Blue color.

OnePlus 3T

Next in line is the OnePlus 3T (Review). It’s clean Aluminium casing not only looks enticing but is also very durable. Even if you use it without a case, the phone won’t lose its sheen even with rough handling (just don’t drop it).

The camera on the rear juts out a bit, something that can be offset using a case. On the front, you will find an AMOLED screen shielded behind a 2.5D curved glass that further adds value to its appearance. There is nothing too flashy about the way it looks or feels and that’s what helps it stand out.  You can buy it in Gunmetal and Soft gold hues. If you can spend another 5k, you can also consider the Midnight black color option.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

Not everyone likes a big phone, and if you are looking for something delightfully compact and manageable, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is perhaps the best available tier-1 branded option in this budget.

It tastefully integrates design mantras that have worked for the flagship S series phones, like the glass body with curved side edges, metal side frame with a color accent, and curved glass on the front. And this one too benefits from a good quality AMOLED screen and Samsung Pay integration. The black color works best for us.

Vivo V5 Plus

The Vivo V5 Plus (Review) borrows more than its fair share from the latest iPhones, but this kind of work in its favor. The handset is available in available in Silver and Matte black color options and both look fabulous.

Vivo V5 Plus flaunts good quality full metal back with U-shaped antenna bands, has very narrow bezels around its 5.5-inch display and integrates 2.5D curved glass on the front. The excellent dual selfie camera setup is an added bonus.

Moto Z2 Play

Motorola’s Z-series phones are the only one still holding the fort for the modular future that we have been promised time and again. The recently launched Moto Z2 Play is super slim, flaunts a stylish metallic build, and allows you to seamlessly clip modular accessories to it.

Asus Zenfone 3

Another great looker you can go for is the new Zenfone 3 (Review) that has powerful hardware enclosed within its glass and metal construction. The signature Asus concentric circle pattern is visible on front and rear from below the glass (2.5D glass on both front and rear) and looks best in black.

The handset comes in two display options – 5.5-inch and 5.2-inch and can also be purchased from offline retail outlets.
