The sweetest spot for budget phone buyers is Rs. 20K where users can find most of what they are looking for. You can find phones with stellar design, cool cameras, beefy batteries and gorgeous displays, but not in one complete package.

With new launches almost every other week, it is very difficult to find the sweetest cookie from the smartphone buffet available under aforementioned price. To make the selection process short and precise for our readers, we have listed top 5 phone under 20,000 INR based on price, specifications, features and our personal experience with each of them, which are by and large most gratifying.

Lenovo Vibe S1

Unlike various leading smartphone manufacturer, who repackage something in different models, Lenovo has been done things differently in 2015 and in my opinion it worked for them. Lenovo Vibe S1 is a clear testimony to that statement.

Lenovo Vibe S1 is world’s first smartphone to feature dual camera at the front.  The company is claiming to provide better selfie experience to its users thanks to 8MP primary front camera and 2MP secondary front camera (we tried it, and liked it). Selfie camera quality is pretty cool, and if that is something your prioritize, this is the phone for you.

Apart from dual selfie camera, Lenovo Vibe S1 sports a 5-inch FullHD IPS display, 3 gigs of RAM, 13MP rear camera and an appealing design. Under-the-hood, Lenovo has placed a 1.7 GHz 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor, with 32GB of ROM. It runs on Android V 5.0 Lollipop and draws energy from its 2500 mAh battery.

Pros:

  • Dual Selfie Camera
  • Great design
  • Good quality display

Cons:

  • Mediocre battery life

OnePlus X

If there will be a pageant most awesome looking phone in this segment, OnePlus X will be one of the top contenders of that title. The ‘X’ factor of this black beauty has to be its looks. Its aluminum frame and chamfered edges, that glass back and speaker grilles at the base make you fall in love with this machine.

Enough of its looks, now let’s talk a bit about raw power that it possess under its hood. The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 3GB RAM with 16 GB storage, expandable by 128 GB if you are ready to swap your second SIM card with a microSD card. In connectivity options, it includes 4G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.

Pros:

  • Good quality AMOLED screen
  • Above average battery
  • Captivating design
  • Good performance

Cons:

  • Non-removable battery and no quick charging support
  • Connectivity lacks dual-band Wi-Fi and NFC
  • No 64-bit processor

Lenovo Vibe P1

Today, fast discharging batteries have become number one concern of our lives. Once the battery of our phone dies, we are almost disconnected from the world (there’s even a medical term for anxiety that follows). To mitigate this battery phobia, Lenovo introduced Vibe P1 which has a humongous 5,000 mAh battery.

Despite carrying on load of this supersized battery, a phablet-sized display and metallic chamfered edges, Lenovo Vibe P1 weighs 189 gram only. Home key has a fingerprint sensor embedded in it. The fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate. Battery supports rapid charging and users can also use it as a Power-bank (Using USB OTG Support) to charge other gadgets.

If you are really interested in super-sized battery phone here’s another option worth considering Gionee Marathon M5

Pros:

  • Large battery
  • Dedicated key to toggle into Power saver mode
  • Metallic side edges
  • 4G LTE support
  • Fast fingerprint sensor

Cons:

  • Display brightness is low
  • Non-replaceable battery
