How to Delete Your Instagram Account Permanently or Disable it Temporarily

Instagram app is the most popular photo-sharing app that has over 700 million users worldwide. But, if you are done with the Instagram and are looking for ways to delete your account for some reason or the other, we are here to guide you.

Follow our step-by-step guide to delete your Instagram account permanently but, you must know that it may delete your photos, videos, comments, likes, and followers, permanently:

Step 1

Visit the Instagram desktop site and click on remove account permanently, or Follow this link.

Step 2

Login with your credentials and you will be redirected to a page where the Instagram community will ask you the reason for deleting the account. Select one option from the drop-down list on ‘Why Are You Deleting Your Account?’

Step 3

After selecting reason, re-enter your Instagram account password. Once done, hit ‘Permanently delete my account.’ 

And you are done, your Instagram Account is past now. Similarly, if you can use the same steps to download delete other Instagram accounts.

Ways to disable Instagram Account Temporarily

But if you are looking for a temporary solution for your Instagram obsession, follow these steps:

Step 1

For this, you can perform it from either your Instagram app or their website. To temporarily disable your Instagram Account tap on ‘Edit Profile’, under the Profile icon. Then, tap on ‘Temporarily disable my account’ in the bottom right and select why you want to disable your account. After this, re-enter the password again.

If you wish to start using the Instagram account again, all you need to do is log back into the account that you have disabled.
