The Pre-booking of the Reliance JioPhone that was announced last month by the company’s chairman, Mukesh Ambani, will begin today. The Jio Phone is the first feature phone that comes with a 4G support and the company is offering it, literally, free of cost. (you will have to pay a refundable security money of Rs 1500/- for the device, though)

When and from where you can book a JioPhone?
The booking of the Jio Phones will begin from August 24, at 05:30 pm. The customer can resort to both online and offline channels to book the respective phone.
How to book Jio Phone from offline stores?
Just visit the nearest Reliance Xpress Mini store today after 5: 30 PM and the executives will book a device for you after you pay the booking amount.
How to book your Jio Phone online?If you opt for the online booking, you will be needing MyJio app. From there, tap on the “Pre-book Now” option, a window will pop-up asking you to quickly fill up your mobile number and pin code of the area you live in.
Now click on “Proceed“. Once you that, the app will ask you to pay Rs. 500 – part of the security money that needs to paid for Jio Phone.
That’s it! Your Jio Phone is booked.
For Booking confirmation, you will receive a booking ID on the app as well as via SMS, which will be used to collect your device from the designated retailer.
How to book Jio Phone For Someone else?
To book Jio Phone for someone else, you can simply input the other person’s phone number instead of yours and continue to the payment page. Both your acquaintance and you will get a booking confirmation message.
How to get the device?
The final step will ask you to collect the device from the designated retail stores, by paying the remaining balance of refundable security money.
