Gionee Elife S8 With All Metallic Design, 3D Touch Display And Dual Whatsapp Announced At MWC 2016

Gionee opened its account at the MWC 2016 with the launch of its new flagship smartphone Elife S8, which has been priced at EUR 449. Along with this new device company also unveiled its new logo and tagline “Make Smiles”. The phone will be made available in Rose Gold, Silver, and Gold colours. It all probability Gionee S8 will touch Indian shores within a month.

The Chinese smartphone maker has taken a leaf out of Apple’s book and introduced 3D touch which works same as in Apple’s iPhone 6S and 6s Plus display.  Gionee’s 3D touch display support long press to launch quick settings along with other software enhancements. In the long list of Software features, Gionee has also introduced inbuilt video editor along with support for dual Whatsapp and dual WeChat accounts.

The Elife S8 features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core chipset. It comes with 4gigs of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The smartphone runs Android Marshmallow-based Amigo 3.2 user interface. In optics section, it sports a 16MP rear camera with F1.8 aperture and 6P lens, PDAF, laser autofocus, LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The S8 is backed by a 3,000mAh power source and supports dual 4G LTE.
