Google has had all eyes upon itself in the mega event I/O 2015. The biggest expectation from the people all around the world was the announcement of a new Android version which has turned out to be true at the event. While Android continues to be the world’s largest OS platform to power up the smartphones, Google has presented the all new version of Android, named Android M. The designation of the letter has not been defined yet though. The newest Android has been disclosed at the I/O tech event hosted by Google and will initially be made available in developer preview version only.
As revealed by the company, Google praised the latest Android as the most polished and refined Android version of all times till date. The new Android M features majorly on features that include Mobile Payments, Web Applications, App Permissions, App links, Better battery life and quick charging and fingerprint support. A granular app comes into play with the new Android M which lets you select manually the permission access for different apps. Unlike before, the permission access for an app can be altered even after the app is installed.
Another new thing about Android M is the all new Chrome which comes with custom tabs this time which will allow developers to pin Chrome in to their apps. The all new Chrome inboxes all other features as the earlier versions of Chrome did. Another new move made by Google in the new Android M is the feature called Android Pay, which is the smart new way to make secure payment transactions from an Android smartphone. The feature will work with over 700,000 stores across the U.S and will enable payments made using MasterCard, Visa, Discover Cards and Amex as well. It also allows users to use NFC and Host Card Emulation. The new Android M developer preview will initially be made available for Nexus 5, Nexus 9, Nexus 6 and Google Player, while the stable release of Android M can be expected to hit by third quarter of 2015.
