Huawei Honor 5C with Kirin 650 chipset and fingerprint sensor launched at 10,999 INR

Honor– a Huawei sub-brand has announced Honor 5C for India a day after its Europe launch. The smartphone is targeted towards the budget smartphone and comes with fingerprint sensor alongside a decent list of hardware specs. It has been priced at Rs. 10,999 and will be available on Flipkart and HiHonor stores from 30th June onwards. Registration for the first flash sale starts today.

The Honor 5C is a successor of Honor 4C legacy and similarly possess great specs at an affordable price. In terms of specs, Honor 5C features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display with 424ppi pixel density. It has a 68.7 percent screen to body ratio. The dual SIM smartphone enthrals on Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 650 octa-core chipset where first half of Cortex A53 core are clocked at 1.7GHz and the remaining four are clocked at 2GHz. The company claims, Honor 5C supports LTE Cat. 6 which is to say that it can bestow 4G speeds of up to 300mbps for downloads and 50 mbps for uploads.

The chipset is accompanied by Mali-T880MP2 GPU and 2GB RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. In the optics section, the Honor 5C bears a 13-megapxiel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. Up front, it features 8-megapixel secondary camera which is specifically optimized for selfies.

It is backed by non-removable 3,000 mAh battery and runs  on Android Marshmallow 6.0 based Emotion UI. Honor has added Fingerprint reader, accelerometer, proximity and compass sensor for a better smartphone experience.
