Infinix Note 4 Look and Feel

Question: How is the Infinix Note 4 design?

Answer: The Infinix Note 4 has a glossy plastic cover that mimics glass-finish and is removable. Underneath, there is room for 2 SIM cards and a microSD card, and a sizable 4300mAh battery( sealed) that also adds to the heft and to the waistline.

The fascia is equally fascinating with 2.5D glass and a front fingerprint sensor cum home button flanked by capacitive navigation buttons on both sides. The mono speaker and USB port are present on the bottom edge, and the audio jack is present on the top. The volume rocker and power key are accessible too.

The Infinix Note 4 tries to mimic a glass metal design and looks good, especially considering the price. But with a 5.7-inch display, it’s quite a hand full and is also a tad bulky.

Question: How is the build quality of Infinix Note 4?

Answer: Infinix Note 4 is a well-built phone and feels durable. There are no flexes or creaks in the body and the plastic lamination on the back cover manages to keep scratches at bay. You will still need to use a case and the one Infinix bundles in the box fits well.

Question: Does Infinix Note 4 have capacitive navigation buttons below the display?

Answer: Yes it does. The capacitive buttons below the display aren’t backlit. You can’t interchange back and recent apps key.

Question: How is the display of Infinix Note 4?

Answer: We don’t usually see 5.7-inch displays in this price range, and that’s primarily what makes the Note 4 stand out. Infinix is using a sharp Full HD panel with good contrast and colors. The display isn’t perfect but it ‘s well suited for multimedia consumption and is certainly good enough for the price.

Question: How is the outdoor visibility? Does the Infinix Note 4 have the option for automatic brightness?

Answer: Auto brightness works fine. The display can get bright enough but the touch glass is a tad reflective and that can be a problem while using the phone in bright sunlight.

Question: Does the Infinix Note 4 display has Gorilla glass protection?

Answer: No, the display doesn’t have Gorilla Glass protection.

Infinix Note 4 Performance and Storage

Question: How much internal storage space is free on Infinix Note 4?

Answer: Out of 32GB onboard storage, about 24GB is free at user end.

Question: How much RAM is free on Infinix Note 4?

Answer: About 2GB out of 3GB memory is free.

Question: Does Infinix Note 4 has separate microSD card slot?

Answer: Yes, a dedicated microSD card slot is present on the handset.

Question: Does Infinix Note 4 support USB OTG?

Answer: Yes. It does.

Question: Does Infinix Note 4 have a fingerprint sensor? How many fingerprints can you scan and store?

Answer: Yes, it comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button on the front. You can add up to 5 fingerprints. You cannot add the same finger twice.

Question: Is the fingerprint sensor on Infinix Note 4 fast and accurate? Is it always-on type?

Answer: Yes, it’s quite fast and accurate. It isn’t always-on type and you will have to press the home button before the phone can scan your fingers.

Question: How is the day-to-day or general performance? How is gaming performance of Infinix Note 4?

The Infinix Note 4 is powered by decidedly entry-grade MediaTek MT6753 chipset paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The chipset is more powerful than the MT6737 quad-core chip that we see in most budget MediaTek phones these days including the Moto E4 Plus.

The phone can handle day-to-day usage without any noticeable stutters, but this isn’t a phone for heavy gaming. Casual games work well.

So basically, this is a phone for basic and moderate users, and that’s perfectly fine in this price range.

Question: Does Infinix Note 4 have heating issues?

Answer: No, there are no heating issues that you need to worry about.

Question: Does Infinix Note 4 support Google cardboard and other VR Apps? Does Infinix Note 4 have gyroscope sensor?

Answer: Yes, Gyroscope sensor is present on the handset and you can run VR applications.

Camera

Question: How is the Infinix Note 4 camera quality?

Answer: You can shoot good images in bright outdoors and also in reasonably well lit indoor ambiance. Camera performance understandably stumbles in low light, which again lies within the bounds of expected when it comes to affordable phones.

In broad daylight, we managed to capture some great shots. In low light, we encountered shutter lag and image noise and had to make repeated attempts for good captures. Once again, for the price, the camera quality is acceptable.

Question: Can the Infinix Note 4 shoot 4K videos?

Answer: No, You can shoot up to 1080p full HD videos.

Question: Can you record slow-motion videos on Infinix Note 4?

Answer: No

Software

Question: How is the software on the Infinix Note 4?

Answer: The phone runs XOS software that’s based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The software is loaded with features and third party apps, a few of which, like the freezer app to restrict background data of selective apps, come in handy.

The native UI elements are similar to HiOS that we experience on the Tecno i7(that comes from the same manufacturer), but there are noticeable improvements like the app drawer for instance.

The interface is feature rich and doesn’t feel shoddy.

Question: Does the Infinix Note 4 support Gestures?

Answer: Yes, the phone supports both on-screen and off-screen gestures including double tap to wake.

Question: Will Infinix Note 4 get Android O update?
