InFocus’ latest offering is the Turbo 5 Plus (Read: FAQs), which is yet another budget smartphone by the US-based company. The phone succeeds its summer offering, InFocus Turbo 5 (Review), and is perhaps the first smartphone to come with dual-camera and a huge battery support, at a pocket-friendly rate.
But, are these features good enough for the company to gain the market share in the overcrowded budget smartphone market? Let’s dig in and find out in our Infocus Turbo 5 Plus full review.

InFocus Turbo 5 Plus Design
The InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is very compact and lightweight in spite of the massive battery it houses. The power button and the volume rocker, placed on the right edge, and the front-mounted fingerprint sensor is right within the reach. The USB-port and speakers are located on the bottom edge of the phone while headphone jack on the top edge.
The outer of InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is a compound of metal and plastic framing. The back of the phone has got the metal plate – rolled over the dual-rear cameras, with the bottom chin and the edges designed with a smooth plastic material. Face up, it has a 2.5D curved glass on top of the display, surrounded by thick bezels.
All in all, we find the design of the InFocus Turbo 5 Plus classy and good-looking, except for the fact that the metal used on the rear is prone to smudges and the plastic edges on the side may wear and tear from mishaps.

InFocus Turbo 5 Plus Display
The InFocus Turbo 5 Plus flaunts a 5-inch HD (720X1080p) display. The display quality on the phone is quite decent and we faced minimal problems using it in bright condition.
InFocus Turbo 5 Plus Performance and Software
The chipset on the InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is mediocre. The phone employs an Octa-core MediaTek MT6750 Cortex-A53 processor backed by 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM. The storage is expandable up to 64GB via hybrid setup.
The processor provides ample power to the InFocus Turbo 5 Plus to pull even the heaviest apps like the Real Racing or Asphalt 8, without any glitches. Though their, graphics were brought down a little. For regular usage, multi-tasking, etc the phone should be good enough for most users.

Out of the box, the InFocus Turbo 5 Plus runs on customised Android Nougat. Although there is InLife UI 2.0 skin running on top of the OS yet the experience is close to stock Android.
InFocus Turbo 5 Plus Camera and Battery
InFocus debuts on dual-camera with the Turbo 5 Plus. The phone sport a dual-rear camera setup on the rear panel, with one being a 13MP wide angle lens and the other 5MP telephoto lens, backed by dual-LED flash. For selfies, it has a 5MP shooter with f/2.4.
After days of usage, we would say that the dual-camera is not Turbo 5 Plus forte. The camera performance feels a bit lackluster. It will give you workable images in good lighting conditions but, struggles in less than perfect lighting
They have added slow-mo video and bokeh shot on the back camera, which is very rear to see on a budget phone, but again the quality remains very ordinary.
If the camera is not a plus point for the InFocus Turbo 5 Plus, its battery certainly pulls it back in the race. We were really impressed by the phone’s battery back up. The 4,850mAh battery can last more than a day of moderate to heavy usage.

InFocus Turbo 5 Plus Review: Thumbs up for Battery
In the end, we would like to conclude by saying that the InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is not a bad choice for a budget smartphone, but it didn’t outright impress us. The phone offers a great battery support, delivers average performance and its light software doesn’t complicate the matter. The camera performance, on the other hand, didn’t live up to our expectations.
Otherwise, the InFocus Turbo 5 Plus is apt for basic and moderate smartphone users looking for a phone under Rs 9,000 price bracket.
