Is Lenovo’s Yoga A12 A Tablet Or A Laptop? Turns Out Its Both!

Complying with the recent trend of tablets doubling up as possible replacements to laptops, Lenovo is set to introduce its new Android-powered tablet, namely the Yoga A12, that is, in fact, a convertible laptop.

Touted as a larger but budget version of the Chinese company’s Yoga Book laptop, the A12 follows the lead of the former as far the design is concerned, including its smart Halo keyboard (The keys light up and give haptic feedback when tapped. You can’t scribble on it, though).

Powered by Intel Atom x5 chip which is supported by 2 gigs of RAM, the Yoga A12 features a 12.2-inch full HD display and boasts of being really slim (just 5.4mm thick on its slimmest edge).

Apart from that, the A12 offers an in-built storage capacity of 32GB along with a self-proclaimed battery backup of 13hours.

Furthermore, the new device from Lenovo runs Android and features what is being called as a ‘multi-tasking hybrid UI’ coupled with Google’s productivity suite.

Another standout feature that the Yoga A12 comes replete with is the 360-degree Yoga ‘hinge’ that enables the device to convert into as many as four different work modes, thus enabling the user to try out various work environment, surfaces, and settings.

The Yoga A12 tablet consists of a chassis made up of magnesium and aluminum and is deemed to be available in two color variants: Gunmetal Grey and Rose Gold.

Seemingly, the device will be available for purchase on the company’s website from 8th February, with its models starting at a price of $299 (approx. Rs. 20,000).
