After laying low for a while, Domestic smartphone manufacturer Karbonn launched a new affordable smartphone, Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G, in India that integrates a host of digital payment services. (हिंदी में पढ़ें)

As the name might suggest, this isn’t resistant to water, dust, scratch or drop resistant phone. The Kavach (Armor) moniker instead refers to the secure BHIM UPI transaction app preloaded on the handset. A fingerprint sensor is also present that can be used to securely authenticate UPI payments.
