Design and Display
Question: How is the Moto M design and build quality?
Answer: As mentioned above, Moto M is the first full Metal Moto branded smartphone. On the front, sits a notification light, earpiece, sensor, and selfie camera followed by a 5.5-inch display layered with a 2.5D glass. The Moto branding helps avoid the chin below the display look superfluous. On the rear side, it sports a 16-megapixel camera with dual tone LED flash, fingerprint sensor, and Moto insignia at the bottom.
On the right edge, one can find a power button and a volume rocker which are firm and offer decent tactic feedback. On the opposite side, it has a hybrid SIM tray. At the bottom edge, there is a Type-C USB port which is sandwiched between dual loudspeaker grills. Up top, it has a 3.5mm audio jack and a noise cancellation mic.
The Moto M looks and feels quite premium, just as you would have expected. The phone fits well in the palm and despite its 7.9mm thickness and 165 grams weight, it doesn’t feel all that heavy. Overall, we think Moto M is one of the better-built smartphones in this budget.
Question: Does it have capacitive buttons or on-screen buttons?
Answer: The Moto M comes with on-screen buttons.

Answer: The Lenovo Moto M comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with full HD resolution and 401ppi pixel density. The display on the phone renders close to natural colors (lacks AMOLED punch though) and the contrast ratio is also decent. Text and pictures appear sharp and viewing angles are also far from disappointing. Overall, Moto M has a good display which is similar to what we have witnessed in the Moto G4 family.

Answer: The Moto M outdoor legibility is good enough. Text and Images are visible in the scorching sunlight.

Though it manages to hold pretty well while playing average GPU taxing games.

Camera
Question: How is the Moto M camera quality?
Answer: The Moto M employs a 16-megapixel primary camera with phase-detect autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and a dual tone flash. In proper light, the Moto M camera manages to click some decent shots. It manages to capture a decent amount of details which is further sharpened by the camera software. The dynamic range of the phone is at par with Moto G4 Plus, which in our opinion has got the best camera in smartphones under Rs. 15,000.
On the downside, it lacks laser autofocus, therefore, it takes that extra fraction of second to lock focus, color reproduction is also a bit patchy. Some images appear over saturated and at times they appear washed out. In dark conditions, the details in the images take a toll as the noise creeps in.
On the other hand, the 8-megapixel selfie camera manages to capture sharp images with accurate colors.
