Lenovo India took too much time bringing its Zuk Z1 to India but it seems to be making amends by bringing in Z2 sooner than anticipated. Lenovo appears to be prepping for a mobile launch in the country in the month of September and we expect it to be Zuk Z2. The brand has posted a new teaser image captioned – “Impatience is a virtue #FastForward” – which reportedly refers to Zuk Z2.

Lenovo’s with its Zuk subbrand introduces crowd-sourced smartphones with customization-friendly software. Last year, the Zuk Series debuted with Zuk Z1 and later this year it was followed up with Zuk 2 and Zuk 2 Pro. The brand forayed into India this May with the launch of Zuk Z1 at an aggressive price of Rs. 13,499.
The Lenovo Zuk Z2 Features
The Lenovo Zuk Z2 features a metal exterior and 2.5D curved glass on top of the display. It comes with a new internal heat conduction technology for better heat dissipation.
In terms of specification, the Lenovo Zuk 2 sports a full HD (1920×1080 pixels) LCD display with 414ppi pixel density and 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, it houses a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It gets 32GB of internal storage which is non-expandable.
For photography enthusiasts, Lenovo ZUK Z2 bears a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and 4K video recording capabilities. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture lens.
It comes with a U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button which can recognize your imprints even when your fingers are wet. The Lenovo Z2 is aided by a 3,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. In terms of connectivity options, it includes dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Since the Zuk Z2 is powered by Snapdragon 820 it is likely to feature in the same price bracket as Le Max2, OnePlus 3 and Xiaomi Mi 5. If it does, it will definitely spice up things in the mid-range segment.
