LG is a popular household name in India as far as consumer durable brands go but same can’t be said for LG smartphones. The company which is credited with some of the boldest and ground breaking innovations in its high-end smartphones hasn’t yet managed to woo affordable phone buyers in a big way.

In India, LG launched Q6 3GB RAM variant for under Rs. 15,000 which makes it an interesting buy. If you are also someone who’s tempted to buy LG Q6 online from Amazon but have a few inhibitions, read on and find answers to all frequently asked LG Q6 related queries here.

LG Q6 Look and Feel

Question: How is the LG Q6 design?

Answer: LG Q6 looks absolutely fabulous in our opinion. After a year of enduring the same metal unibody template, the Q6 design feels refreshing, even when it’s mostly plastic. The front is dominated by an 18:9 full display (also known as Full vision display) with minimal bezels thus making Q6 noticeably compact for a 5.5-inch display device. There is a metal rim running around the phone that further adds strength to the phone.

The power button (on the right edge) and volume keys (on the left edge) feel sturdy enough and offer decent tactile feedback. The SIM cards slots and a separate microSD card slot are also present on the right edge. There are the headphone jack and Micro-USB port on the bottom edge, and a mono speaker at the back. The rear camera module sits flush with the glossy glass finish back.

Answer: The Full Vision display on LG Q6 is its biggest asset. The 18:9 display stretches almost from corner to corner. Apart from the swanky aspect ratio, the display quality is also pretty impressive.

It is taller than most of the usual 5.5-inch displays and has 2160 x 1080p resolution which is not very common for under 15k phones. We had a pleasant experience while consuming media content and surfing the internet on the phone. The colours are true, well saturated and light on the eyes.

Answer: The Q6 ropes in Snapdragon 435 mobile platform which rocks in the likes of entry level phones such as Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Review), and the chipset has to shoulder a fairly heavy UI.

However, it should be sufficient enough to meet demands of basic users who use their phone for calling, and checking out social feeds. The phone’s performance remained smooth most of the time. LG Q6 Quick Review – Should you buy it?

The premium looks and in hand feel of LG Q6, a rather compact form factor, and it’s awesome display make us want to forgive its flaws. The software running on the phone counts as a plus point too. At the same time, quite a few online consumers might find it difficult to look past the entry-grade chipset and missing utilities like the fingerprint sensor and fast charging.

Overall, it’s a good phone for basic users (say, the one you could gift to your parents)who need not engage with a multitude of apps or for those who prioritize compact form factor and a good display for multimedia consumption.
