LG’s recent ‘Save the Date’ invite has sent the rumor mill abuzz, with the possibility of the announcement of its next big phone, the V30, being discussed vehemently.

The company’s V30 handset has been a topic of intense speculation of late, and the said invite, which shows a device in the 18:9 aspect ratio followed by a giant, glowing V-shaped design, invariably points towards the unveiling of the successor to the company’s V20 smartphone.

Moreover, the date of the launch event also falls in line with the recent rumors regarding the release of the phone, affirming the fact that it is indeed the V30 that is going to be unveiled.

Coming to the phone, it is going to be the latest addition to LG’s V series of smartphones, joining the likes of the V10 and the aforementioned V20. The V series is known for featuring a secondary display atop the main screen (something that was there in both the V10 and the V20).

But, if recent reports are to be believed, the V30 is set to do away with the secondary display for an OLED one. Some other changes that the phone would be sporting would be a FullVision display in an 18:9 ration (like the LG G6 and the recently launched Q6, as well as possible support for wireless charging.

The other rumored specifications of the phone include a Snapdragon 835 chipset, a 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage (expandable), dual rear cameras, and a 6-inch display.

Well, although the recent events have corroborated a few rumors of the phone, it would do us best if we waited for the company to let an official word out in this regard.
