Indian smartphone maker Micromax launched its new affordable Bharat series smartphone, Bharat 5. The phone sport modest specification as is expected of an entry-grade phone, but its biggest highlight is its 5000mAh battery and the ability to shoot portrait images.

Micromax Bharat 5 Features
As for the specification, the Micromax Bharat 5 flaunts a 5.2-inch (1280 × 720p) HD display with 2.5D glass on top. The phone is powered by Quad-core MediaTek chip clocked at 1.4GHz. The SoC is assisted by 1GB of RAM, and 16GB onboard storage. The storage can further be expanded up to 64GB via a dedicated card slot.
In optics, the Bharat 5 features a 5-megapixel primary camera with flash and portrait mode that can click images with blurred background. Up front, it has another 5-megapixel selfie camera, which is also accompanied by an LED flash.

The dual-sim Micromax Bharat 5 runs on the Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box and is fueled by 5000mAh. For connectivity, it comes with features like 4G Volte, OTG support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. There is no fingerprint sensor on the phone.
Micromax Bharat 5 Price and Availability
Micromax has priced the Bharat 5 in India at Rs. 5,555. You can buy it from all major offline retail stores from December 5 onwards.
For the launch offers, Micromax has partnered with Vodafone, under which, on every purchase of Bharat 5, existing Vodafone customers who recharge for 1GB data, will receive additional 10GB data for the first five months.
