Micromax has launched another Canvas series phone, the Canvas 1, that will primarily cater to the offline market. Priced at 6,999, the Canvas 1 will go head to head against phones like Moto C Plus and Redmi 4 in India.

I am sure the first thing you will notice in the press renders is the uncanny resemblance to OnePlus 5. Of course, the two phones lie on the opposite side of the spectrum and the semblance is superficial at the very best.

The hardware used here is quite basic. The Canvas 1 is equipped with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MT6737 processor, paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of built in storage.

Now, that’s not a lot to begin with but you can find some comfort in SD card storage (up to 64GB).The dual SIM phone supports 4G VoLTE and is running Android 7.0 Nougat. There is an 8MP camera on the rear and 5MP selfie camera. Other features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a 2500mAh battery.
