Microsoft Lumia 540 Announced, To Arrive Soon

Microsoft has been really engaged in the smartphones since after the technology transfer occurred from Nokia to Microsoft. A month ago at MWC 2015 event in Barcelona, we came across two more Windows based smartphones from Microsoft, Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. And the duo seems to be performing well, and they showed up with a unique ability to run Windows 10. Recently Microsoft has officially announced a successor to Microsoft Lumia 535. The new comer has been named as Microsoft Lumia 540. It comes with Windows 8.1 Denim OS and features dual-sim support.

Microsoft Lumia 540 launch

Microsoft Lumia 540 features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a clock rating of 1.2 GHz pinned along with 1 GB RAM. It packs 8 GB of internal storage space which can be expanded up to 128 GB by miroSD card. The device runs on Windows 8.1 Denim OS and boasts a 5 inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. Speaking of camera, an 8 MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front facing camera with a 24 mm wide angle view lens can be found onboard.

Microsoft Lumia 540 price is expected to be approximately INR 9,400 and will be available in cyan, orange, white and black colors.The phone will start rolling out in early May 2015 in Middle East, India, Asia Pacific, Africa and Italy.
