Fluent succeeds Metro

The video by Windows demonstrated the upgrades the new update will bring to its latest OS. Microsoft’s Fluent Design System will succeed the company’s Metro design and will do a makeover of some apps and menus, including the core applications like photos and People.

Check out Microsoft’s Fluent design in the video below:

The new fluent design seems to be focussed more on light, blurriness, depth, motion, material, scale and animation that make the content on the screen 3D, interactive, and lively. Other features in the update include ‘Acrylic’ for blur and transparency and ‘Reveal’ for buttons outlining, or icons revealed when the cursor hovers over something.

Redstone 4

Fall Creators Update, will only bring minuscule changes to Windows 10, another upgrade jazzing up the OS interface is in the pipeline as well. Reports suggest that Microsoft is testing an update for the Windows 10, codenamed as Redstone 4, which is expected to arrive in March.

The biggest addition to the update could be a new Cortana Collection Feature, which will derive results based on our browsing habit, just like Google Assistant, and the timeline update that will allow you to seamlessly switch between devices and continue right where you left off. These are only few of many features that Microsoft is testing and we expect a lot more shall be revealed in the coming days as Microsoft closes in on the official launch.
