Nokia launched a total of 5 Nokia phones today. While the Nokia 8 Sirocco leads the pack, the Nokia 1 and Nokia 8110 represent the other extreme. These are value for money propositions. The Nokia 1 is meant for feature phone users who’d like to switch to a smartphone and the Nokia 8110 is meant for those who’d like to continue using feature phones.

Nokia 1 (Android Go)

Nokia 1 is the second Android Go running phone that we have heard of today (the first being Alcatel 1X). It’s a cute little phone that’s 9.5 mm thick, has humble hardware, and one that’s perhaps relying too heavily on Google’s Android Go optimizations.

The Nokia 1 has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display (480 x 854). It’s powered by 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M SoC, paired with 1GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8GB of storage.

Other features include 5MP camera, 2MP front camera, 128GB microSD card support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone includes a 2150mAh battery.

Nokia 1 Price and availability: The Nokia 1 will retail for $85 globally that converts to roughly Rs. 5,500. This is the average global price of the handset, and the India price should be somewhere near the same.

The handset will be available for purchase globally starting April 2018 and we will be available in Dark Blue and Warm Red colors. Nokia will also offer several Xpress-on covers for Nokia 1 that will be available in Azure, Grey, Yellow and Pink colors for $7.9 each.
