Earlier in the day, GSMarena reported that OnePlus 5T is to be unveiled on November 5 but the source turned out to be a fake one. Someone shared a fake OnePlus invite hinting OnePlus 5T’s imminent arrival on November 5. Later OnePlus officially denied the rumour, confirming it to be a fake news.

If you look that [fake] invite closely, it contains a slim bezel smartphone with ‘T’ emblazoned on top, obviously hinting at 5T. Besides, OnePlus 5 going out of stock in more than a few markets added more fuel to the fire. The current flagship is only retailing in India as of now.

At the same time, OnePlus has only discarded the invite, still keeping the possibility of a 5T variant open. We could indeed see an upgrade sooner rather than later.

OnePlus 5T features (expected)

Officially there is no information related to the OnePlus 5T, however, the phone is expected to feature a 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display. We do not expect too many changes under the hood. The OnePlus 5T is likely to feature a Snapdragon 835 with 6GB and 8GB RAM similar to its predecessor. In that case, it is highly likely that OnePlus shifts fingerprint sensor to the rear.

The OnePlus 5T cameras might see an upgrade too. It is possible that OnePlus 5T could feature a dual camera setup on the front. OnePlus 5T is likely to come out-of-the-box running on Android Oreo-based Oxygen OS.
