It appears the rejuvenated Nokia (or HMD?) brand is going all guns blazing in its bid to get back to the topmost strata of the smartphone market. Having already brought out a quartet (the Nokia 6,3,5 and the 3310 reborn) of smartphones, the looks on track to bring out more.

According to the latest reports to come this way, another quartet is set to join the original one, the processor details of whom have been leaked now.

The newer Nokia phones in question are the Nokia 2, Nokia 7, Nokia 8, and Nokia 9.

According to the people at Nokia Power User, all the new smartphones from the company are set to come replete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets, except for the budget-oriented Nokia 2, regarding which uncertainty is still looming (Snapdragon or MediaTek).

The Nokia 5,6 and 3 handsets

While some reports suggest that the phone will have a Snapdragon 212 SoC, there have been present contradicting reports pointing towards the use of a MediaTek processor, which seems more plausible considering the company’s other budget phone – the Nokia 3 – also runs on a MediaTek chipset.

As for the other smartphones in the fray, the report is pretty clear on the fact that they would be using chipsets of Qualcomm make.

The Nokia 6 is one the most popular smartphones in the world currently

The Nokia 9 is being deemed to be using the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC, while the Nokia 7 and 8 handsets would be employing the Snapdragon 660 and 630 ones, respectively.

The phones are expected to hit the market later this year.
