HMD Global’s long-rumoured Nokia 9 could become a reality next month, when the phone is expectee to be unveiled alongside the new variant of Nokia 8.
Reports from the Chinese website, MyDriversreport, state that the Finland firm has planned out an event on January 19, where they could present their new flagship smartphone. The source also stated that both Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) will be customized for the Chinese market, which means it will have a different ROM with limited Google apps.
Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) Specification
As for the specification, chances are that the Nokia 9 would be a high-end smartphone from Nokia. The handset may feature a 5.5-inch hyperbolical display with 2k resolution, Snapdragon 835 processor, dual-rear camera and IP67 waterproof rating. Also, there is a possibility of Nokia 9 coming in two variants – one with 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage and the other with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On the other hand, the second generation of Nokia 8 may flaunt an 18:9 full-screen display (its innard may remain same as the 2017s Nokia 7). The sad part of both the smartphones is the missing 3.5mm headphone jack.
The pricing details of the new Nokia 8 (2018) are still unknown, however, screenshots of the alleged Nokia 9 have revealed that the 64 GB Nokia 9 will cost CNY 3,699 (approx Rs 37,000) and 128 GB will cost CNY 4,199 (approx Rs 42,000).
Beyond this, we don’t have much information on either the Nokia 9 or the second-gen Nokia 8, but it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer.
