OnePlus 3 Officially Unveiled In All Its Glory; Priced At 27,999 INR

OnePlus 3 has profusely leaked over the last 24 hours or so, and with very few surprises to spare, the handset has now been officially presented. For now, only one OnePlus 3 variant (the one with 6GB RAM) shall be retailing in India for 27,999 INR.

The OnePlus 3 is slimmer (7.35mm) and slicker, and will retail on Amazon.in in Graphite and Soft Gold color options. Initially the Graphite variant will go on sale starting 12:30 AM on 15th June 2016. The metal unibody chassis houses a 5.5-inch optic AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and very narrow bezels on all sides.

Like always, OxygenOS (based on Android Marshmallow) lets you choose between onscreen or capacitive off screen navigation buttons. The physical home button doubles as a fingerprint  sensor, which according to OnePlus can unlock your phone in just 0.3 seconds.

Of course, with 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820 chipset, 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and Adreno 530 onboard, performance shouldn’t be an issue. OnePlus also highlighted the presence of Dash Charge technology which can replete the 3000 mAh battery by up to 60 percent in just 30 minutes. OnePlus claims that the charging speed will be maintained even while user continues to engage with demanding tasks, such as, streaming high quality video content.

The 16MP rear camera (Sony IMX298) benefits from dual stabilization (both OIS and EIS), f2.0 aperture lens, RAW image support, and PDAF, and the front 8MP (Sony IMX179) camera can recognize a smiling face and fire itself.

NFC is back. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS/ A-GPS.
