In an uncertain way, the upcoming OnePlus 5T was revealed to the world prior to its official launch. The revelation came not from the company but from a vlogger who posted a video of the OnePlus 5T unboxing online. The video purportedly showed every aspect of the upcoming smartphone, whose official launch is awaited on November 16.

OnePlus 5T Leaked Specifications

The video ‘almost’ puts a rubber stamp on most of the specification that were speculated to be on OnePlus 5T, ever since the phone came into limelight. The phone is a makeover of company’s earlier flagship smartphone, OnePlus 5 and is a little too inspired by Oppo R11s on the outside.

As seen in the video, OnePlus 5T will definitely be a slightly bigger smartphone than its predecessor and the dual-camera module on the former will have a bigger bump than the OnePlus 5. The updated handset will have an edge-to-edge 18:9 6-inch display along with dual-rear cameras, metal unibody, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Since the screen dominates the phone’s front, the fingerprint sensor has been accommodated on the rear panel of OnePlus 5T. It is also interesting to see in the leaked video that the phone will come with a Face ID feature which will unlock your phone in iPhone X style.

As for the rest of the leaked specifications, the OnePlus 5T is expected to rock on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 8 GB RAM and the, now confirmed, 128 GB internal storage option. The cameras on OnePlus 5T are expected to be a 16 MP + 20 MP rear camera with a wide and telephoto lens and a 16MP front camera, just like the OnePlus 5.

The smartphone will possibly run on Oxygen OS based Android 7.1.1 Nougat and house 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charging support.

OnePlus 5T Launch Date and Price

The Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus, will launch the OnePlus 5T globally on November 16 at an event in New York. As for the pricing, the OnePlus 5T is expected to cost more than the OnePlus 5. It was hinted from a tweet by the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, who cited increase rising cost of components for the increase in pricing.
