Oppo has officially unleashed the R11 and R11 Plus smartphones in China. Both of these phones have dual rear cameras with a telephoto lens for 2X optical zoom.

As their names would suggest, the R11 Plus is the bigger of the two. It includes a 6-inch AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset, which is the more power efficient successor to Snapdragon 653. The R11 Plus comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage (hybrid SIM slot).

Out of the two sensors on the rear, one is 16MP Sony IMX398 with f/1.7 aperture 6p lens and the other is a 20MP Sony IMX350 with a f/2.6 telephoto lens. The camera setup can be used for 2X optical zoom.

Since Oppo and OnePlus are closely related and are know to share technology, we are guessing that this could also be the snapper we get to see on the upcoming OnePlus 5. Come to think of it, the design isn’t very different either (compared to OnePlus 5. Or iPhone 7)

Another 20MP sensor is planted on the front for selfies and this one is aided by bright f/2.0 aperture optics.

Software on the phone is Android 7.1.1 Nougat based ColorOS 3.1. Other features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, fingerprint sensor, and 4000mAh battery with VOOC charging.

The Oppo R11, on the other hand, has a comparatively smaller 5.5-inch Full HD display, 4GB RAM and a smaller 3000mAh battery. Other hardware and features remain same.

For some reason, Pricing will be announced tomorrow.
