Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chipset Announced, Everything We know So Far

Qualcomm has finally taken the wraps off from its next-generation flagship chipset – the Snapdragon 845, with this launch the Snapdragon on-chip system marked its tenth anniversary. The company has very selectively revealed details about its greatest chip.

Snapdragon 845 Vs. Snapdragon 835: What Improved

The Snapdragon 845 SoC will be succeeding immensely popular Snapdragon 835 chipset which currently rocking in most of the flagships in 2017. The Qualcomm development team took three years to come up with the Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip. Like the predecessor, the Snapdragon 845 Chipset will feature a 10nm manufacturing process.

As per the Qualcomm, its team focused on six core features mainly Content creation, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, wireless, and power consumption while coming up with this new powerhouse. The Snapdragon 835 successor will offer much-improved performance, better power efficiency, and improved image processing. The Qualcomm 845 chipset will feature an X20 LTE modem, which supports gigabit connectivity on supported networks.

“It’ll make accessing the apps on the web as fast as the memory on your phone,”  Alex Katouzian, SVP of Qualcomm Semicon, Qualcomm’s semiconductor division, said. “It’s the ultimate in mobile platform capability.”

The Snapdragon 845 chipset set to officially feature in most of the high-end Android phones in 2018. The new chipset is also expected feature in few Windows 10 running laptops as well.
