Reliance Jio quite recently reduced tariffs by introducing new plans at the start of this year. Now, responding to the competition, the company has once again revised its plans under its Jio Republic Day Offer
The cheapest pre-paid plan offers 1GB Data and unlimited Voice calls for just Rs. 49. The next plan offers 2GB data for 28 days at Rs. 98. The other prepaid plans that offered 1GB Data per day now offer 1.5GB data per day. Plans that offered 1.5GB data per day now offer 2GB data per day.
The new plans will be available starting Friday, January 26, 2018, i.e. on Republic Day.

These new Jio plans come in response to Airtel increasing validity of a few key plans in order to retain customers in the face of burgeoning competition.
Recently Reliance Jio surprised everyone by reporting a profit of 504 Crores just after 2 quarters of its commercial launch. Jio added a staggering 21 million during the last quarter and had a total wireless traffic of 4,413 Billion MB as against 1,106 Billion MB consumed by Airtel customers.
