Samsung introduced yet another flip phone in China. The new Galaxy W2017 has an exorbitant price tag (Approx 2 Lakhs in Indian denominations) and Note 7 rivaling innards.

To start with, there is 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 on board along with 4GB RAM, 64GB Storage and 256GB of MicroSD support. We can safely assume that’s more raw horsepower than what you would need on the handset, which clearly isn’t targeted at avid high-end gamers.

The camera hardware is also same as what the South-Korean giant uses on its S and Note series flagships. On the rear, you will spot a 12MP camera with 1.4-micrometer pixels, LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, and PDAF, with a fingerprint reader placed right below it. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie shooter with wide f/1.9 aperture optics.

The dual 4.2-inch Full HD AMOLED displays play their part in pushing the thickness all the way to 15.8mm (Pretty reasonable for a flip phone). All hardware is encased in a metal body, which pushes the weight to 208 grams.

Other features include Android Marshmallow based OS, Hybrid SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and a 2300mAh fast charging battery.
