On the other hand, Google and LG’s Nexus 5X 16GB just received a price-cut and is selling for 23,900 INR. Let’s pitch them against each other and elaborate their pros and cons to help you make up your mind. But first, let’s get the specs out of our system.

Design and Display
The LG Nexus 5X is sturdy, light and in no way cheap looking, but its fully plastic. In late 2015 this borders on being regressive, but nothing that a good case won’t solve. The OnePlus 2 on the other hand gives you luxury of going commando. Even if you get scuff marks on the back panel there are some beautiful alternate options which aren’t very expensive either.
But that’s about the rear side. Coming to the front, the displays dominate. And we must say, though the LG Nexus 5X has a smaller panel, color calibration is better. Keeping them side by side, the Nexus 5X feels more vivid and sharp. OnePlus 2 still offers better sunlight legibility.
Also, sheer weight of OnePlus 2 is off putting. The LG Nexus 5X is significantly slimmer, lighter and easily manageable which in our books is a clear advantage and can’t be overlooked.
Fingerprint Scanner and Speakers
Both smartphones are equipped with fingerprint scanners, which are fast, accurate and equally efficient. The Nexus 5X has a rear mounted unit, and the OnePlus has one integrated with the home-button on the front side. Which one you like better is subjective, but we like OnePlus implementation better.
Audio quality is pretty good on both handsets. The OnePlus 2 is louder, but Nexus 5X mono front speaker gets the job done too. This shouldn’t be a deal breaker or maker while considering between the two.
Performance
There is no denying that OnePlus 2 has more powerful chipset. The 2 has Snapdragon 810, backed by 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB storage. On the other hand, Nexus 5X is powered by Snapdragon 808 with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and mere 16GB storage.
In practical usage, LG Nexus 5X felt as snappy (and at times even better) as OnePlus 2 in day to day life, but gaming experience wasn’t exactly satisfying (There was no evident lag, but sensor response seems slow). Also limited storage is something very difficult to look past. It’s rather easy to max that out if you are interested in high end Android gaming. If high-end gaming is a top priority, Nexus 5X 16GB won’t make the cut, for everything else, it’s quite decent.
As for OnePlus 2, our only gripe is that the software experience doesn’t feel refined. Even after months of update, the software still feels like work in progress.
Camera performance
OnePlus 2 and LG Nexus 5X are real close in terms of camera performance. If we had to choose one, we would say LG Nexus 5X camera is better. OnePlus 2 benefits from OIS (which works better now after updates, this is a significant advantage) but LG Nexus 5X camera requires you to do minimum work for great shots. You won’t be disappointed by the camera performance of either of the two.
