Indian company Videocon has introduced the Ultra50 smartphone in the country. The smartphone will go on sale in the first week of November on both offline and online markets. It comes with a Rs. 8,990 price tag. It has been launched in Space Grey and Gold color options.
The smartphone comes with a pre-installed emergency response app named as ‘SOS-BE Safe’ which doubles up the power button of the smartphone as the panic button to send an alert to the numbers on the emergency list at the time of unfortunate situations.

The phone also supports dual WhatsApp feature that means you can activate two different WhatsApp accounts simultaneously. The phone also supports a number gestures to trigger different functions. For example by drawing ‘O’ the flashlight opens, while by drawing ‘M’ will open music app, and ‘C’ will launch the camera.
In terms of specifications, the Videocon Ultra50 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection. The smartphone comes out of the box running on a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz, along with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It offers 32GB of on-board storage which can be bumped up to 64GB via microSD card.
The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. In optics section, it includes a 13-megapixel primary shooter with PDAF, and dual-LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel secondary camera with LED flash for those low light selfies. In connectivity options, it include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and FM radio.

The phone also packs a fingerprint scanner which is integrated at the front underneath the Home Button. It also comes loaded with EROS Now, Gameloft Games, Opera Mini, SwiftKey, Office suite, ChillX, PayPlutus, SBI Buddy, Daily Hunt, and ChillX are also pre-installed apps.
