Update 11/20/2017: Vivo V7 has now been officially introduced at 18,990 INR. Read our Vivo V7 first impression here.

Vivo V7 went official in Indonesia ahead of its India launch that’s scheduled for next week on November 20. Just as it’s elder sibling, the Vivo V7 Plus, the Vivo V7 will have an 18:9 near bezel-less display and a 24MP selfie camera, and in India, it will be up against the likes of Oppo F5 and Gionee M7 Power.

Vivo V7 Hardware and Features

To start with, the Vivo V7 will have a slightly smaller 5.7-inch display size with the same HD+(1440 X 720) resolution. It’s powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor (Snapdragon 450?) paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. You can further add up to 256GB of secondary microSD card storage.

The dual-SIM phone has the same camera hardware as the V7+. There is a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 24MP front selfie camera also with f/2.0 aperture. Due to obvious lack of space on the front, as is the case with almost all full-view display phones, the fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the rear.

The handset measures 149.3 x 72.8 x 7.9mm and weighs just 139 grams. Other features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, HiFi audio, 3.5mm audio jack and a 3000mAh battery.

How is Vivo V7 different than Vivo V7+?

The two phones are remarkably close in terms of features they offer. Both phones have the same chipset, the same amount of RAM, the same design and are running the same software, but there are a few differences to consider.

  • You get half the amount of inbuilt storage on the V7 (32GB vs 64GB). Both phones have dedicated card slots, though.
  • The Vivo V7 has a slightly smaller display (5.7 vs 5.99-inch) which also makes it a tad more compact
  • Due to the smaller footprint, the Vivo V7 fits in a slightly smaller battery (3000mAh vs 3225mAh).
  • And with the difference in weight of both of these devices, we are guessing that the Vivo V7 will have a polycarbonate back with metal finish instead of Vivo V7+ like full metal body.

Vivo V7 India Price (Expected)

The Vivo V7 will go official in India on November 20 and the price is expected to be around Rs. 17,999. In India, it will be available exclusively on Flipkart in Matte Black and Gold color options.

To celebrate the launch, Vivo has bundled some offers that can be availed with every purchase of Vivo V7. The offers include:

  • No Cost EMI option
  • One Time Free Screen Replacement
  • Exciting Exchange Offers
  • Book my Show’s Free Couple Movie Vouchers
  • Cashback offers for HDFC credit and debit card holders
  • Guaranteed Buyback Value
