Vivo X9 And X9 Plus Announced With 20MP and 8MP Dual Front Cameras

Vivo has added two new smartphones in Its X series back home -the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus. Both of these phones have been in rumors for some time especially due to their front dual camera setups. These new phones will certainly interest the selfie obsessed.

The Vivo X9 specs include a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution and 1.59mm. At the heart of it features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset based on 14nm process.  It comes with 4Gigs of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. The phone’s dimensions stand at 152.6 x 74 x 6.99 mm and it weighs 154 grams. The dual SIM phone supports 4G VoLTE. It gets a fingerprint sensor, AKM4376 DAC and  3050 mAh battery to power up the phone.

On the other hand, the Vivo X9 Plus boasts a slightly bigger 5.88-inch display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 653 chipset which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Vivo has added a bigger 4000mAh battery which should last a day.

Both phones share the same camera optics. The rear camera is a 16-megapixel shooter that comes with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and single LED flash. Up front, there is a dual camera setup which gets a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP secondary sensor.

The Vivo X9 and X9 Plus come in Gold or Rose Gold color options. The basic X9 is available for pre-order in China today at CNY 2798 (about Rs. 27,632) for 64GB variant and CNY 2998 (about Rs. 29607) for the 128GB version. However Vivo will announce X9 Plus availability and pricing details on December 26.
