Vivo has always been the one to grab headlines by pushing the hardware boundaries, and for 2018, it’s expected to launch a 10GB RAM phone. Vivo XPlay7 rumors suggest that it will be a power-packed and feature-rich phone that will also include an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 4K edge-to-edge display.

Currently, Vivo is the only brand who has managed to successfully implement in-display fingerprint sensor in its X20 UD.

Vivo XPlay 7 features and other Rumors

In China, a PPT with Vivo XPlay7 specifications (alleged) is making rounds and makes for an interesting read. As per the PPT, the Vivo XPlay 7 will flaunt a 4K edge-to-edge display with 92.9% screen-to-body ratio. Like the X20 Plus UD, the Xplay 7’s under-display fingerprint sensor will come from Synaptics.

That’s not all, it suggests that the Vivo Xplay 7 will be driven by Snapdragon 845 chipset and will be accompanied by a whopping 10GB RAM and 256GB / 512GB storage options. Apart from this, the phone is rumored to boast of a dual camera setup with 4X lossless zoom capabilities. Vivo could also offer FaceUnlock 2.0 in its 2018 flagship.

While the 8GB RAM is still a rear breed, the memory on XPlay 7 certainly feels like an overkill. However, we are sure consumer usage and future software requirements would catchup. What this XPlay 7 leak is suggesting seems a bit too far-fetched as of now.

Since all this information is based on a PPT which could prove false, we request you take these the Xplay7 details with a pinch of salt as there is no official confirmation.
