Vivo Y55s With Snapdragon 425, 3GB RAM Launched At Rs. 12,490

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has brought out a new smartphone into the market called the Y55s. Vivo is calling its latest offering the successor to the company’s Y55L smartphone that hit the market in October last year.

Coming to the specifications, the phone features a 5.2-icnh HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top and is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor mated to 3 gigs of RAM.

The phone features Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the company’s very own Funtouch OS 3.0 on the top. Along with that, the Y55s carries with itself an inbuilt storage capacity of 16GB which can be stretched further till 256GB via external sources.

The phone comes wrapped in a metal unibody and packs an improved 2730mAH battery to keep the things goings.

As far as optics are concerned, the Y55s sports a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP one on the front.

The phone also comes replete with a ‘Smart Screen-split’ feature that allows the users to multi-task fairly easily. Another added feature is the ‘Eye-protection mode’ that is aimed at reducing the strain on the eyes, especially during prolonged use of the phone.

The Vivo Y55s has been priced at Rs. 12,490 in the country and will be available for purchase starting 26th February. Also, the phone is available in a couple of colors (Crown Gold and Space Grey) variants.
