These Xiaomi Phones Are Expected to Receive MIUI 10 Update Later This Year

A few months ago Xiaomi started rolling out MIUI 9 update which was promised to hit 40 devices. This MIUI 9 update in its final leg as most devices from that list have received its incremental update. The latest leak suggests that Xiaomi has started working on MIUI 10. Xiaomi is expected to roll out MIUI 10 update in Q2 of 2018.

There is no official confirmation yet, but the leak suggests Xiaomi won’t be updating smartphones launched before 2012 such as Xiaomi Mi 2,Mi 2S, Mi 4i, Mi Note, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime. The upcoming MIUI update is like to make available in 40 devices including smartphones and tablets.

Here’s the list of phones that are expected to receive MIUI 10 update later this year based on the leak:

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 3 Pro/Prime, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 4G Prime,

It is worth mentioning here that MIUI upgrades do not necessarily mean latest android update. Xiaomi has a long history releasing a new version of MIUI based on older version of Android.

Currently, Xiaomi is citing people’s opinion on what should be the moniker for next version of MIUI. The company has created a poll social media where there are asked to choose between MIUI 10 and MIUI X. Last year, Xiaomi announced that the MIUI 10 will employ Artifical Intelligence and machine learning that will ensure it is smarter and faster than before.

Since Xiaomi is yet to come out in the open to talk about MIUI 10 update we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt.
