Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro With Fingerprint Sensor And 3GB Of RAM Announced

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has unwrapped Redmi 3 Pro alongside a sub brand ‘Mi Ecosystem’ in China on Tuesday. Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is a new variant of its popular budget smartphone Redmi 3. It will be available in Gold, Grey, and Silver colors via a flash sale in homeland China on April 6 for CNY 899 which roughly translate to Rs. 9,000. At the moment, Xiaomi has refrained from making a comment on its availability in other markets including India.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro offers more storage space alongside a fingerprint sensor which was lacking in Redmi 3 which was launched few months back. Redmi 3 Pro is identical to Redmi 3 from the exterior.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro sports a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it packs an octa core Snapdragon 616 with four cores ticking at 1.5GHz and remaining four are clocked at 1.2GHz. To give a boost multi-tasking and gaming experience it comes with Adreno 405GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Unlike original Redmi 3, the Pro variant features 32GB of internal memory which can be bumped by up to 128GB via microSD card. The Redmi 3 Pro has a hybrid dual SIM slot.

For shutterbug, it houses a 13-megapixel primary snapper with LED flash, f/ 2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and 1080p full-HD video recording capabilities. Upfront, it features a 5-megapixel front selfie shooter with capabilities of recording HD videos.
