Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Renders Show 18:9 Display and Dual Rear Cameras

Renders of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is the most recent smartphone leaked on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo which was soon spotted by GizChina, giving us first glimpse of what it would look like.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Design

If leaked image is anything to go by, the Redmi 5 Plus will boast a tall 18:9 display dominating the fascia. The phone’s front seems to be inspired by Vivo’s V7+ whereas, the rear end of the phone seems to imitate Redmi Note 4 design. On the rear side, it flaunts a vertically aligned dual-camera setup and a fingerprint scanner.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Features

The leak doesn’t really carry much information about the Redmi 5 Plus features and specifications but previously some rumors threw some light on what Redmi 5 Plus could be unveiled with. According to rumours, it might boast off a 5.9-inches 18:9 display with HD+ resolution. The phone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The phone is likely to come running on MIUI 9 out-of-the-box.

At this point in time, Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus India launch and availability are still a wild guess. If Xaomi decides to launch it in India, it will be Xiaomi’s first 18:9 display budget phone and it will compete with the likes of Micromax Canvas Infinity and LG Q6. Xiaomi is expected to make an official announcement of Redmi 5 Plus next week in China.
