Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 Specification and Price Spotted on Official Website

Chinese brand Xiaomi has accidentally put its next premium smartphone –the Redmi Pro 2 on its official website. The Redmi Pro successor with its entire spec sheet appeared on the Chinese version of the Mi.com and was quickly spotted by GizmoChina before it was pulled down. Now it is evident from the accidental listing that Xiaomi will release Redmi Pro 2 in China, at least initially. Xiaomi may also consider a launch in selected countries at a later stage to cash-in on its brands growing popularity in nations like India. Recently, released IDC report points out that Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is the highest shipped phone in India in Q1, 2017.  A couple of weeks back, Xiaomi also inaugurated its first Mi Home in India situated at the heart of IT capital – Bengaluru.

As far as specifications Redmi Pro 2 are concerned, the leaked listing suggest that the smartphone will flaunt a 5.5-inch OLED display. The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 530GPU. The details related to RAM and ROM are still missing from public domain. It comes running on Android Nougat operating system. On the optics front, the Redmi Pro 2 will come feature a 16-megapixel primary camera at the rear with PDAF and dual tone flash. On the face, the device sports a 13-megapixel selfie snapper.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will come with a mammoth 4100 mAh battery. As per the accidental listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is expected to be priced at CNY 1,199, which will be roughly around Rs 11,500.

Xaiomi disappointed its ardent India fans by not launching Redmi Pro last year but if Xiaomi decides to launch the power-packed Redmi Pro 2 in India soon, it could prove to be a formidable budget contender.
